Our Story
Community Wellbeing began in 2019 as Community Wellbeing San Diego, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization founded on the need to reduce health disparities and to increase health literacy affecting communities at risk. As many diverse communities' face health disparities, it remains essential to address health and social drivers of health barriers towards achieving overall community wellbeing.
Community Wellbeing expands on its efforts to contribute towards global overall health advancement through its program, Path to Wellness and Development Initiative (PWDI) in Africa for the improvement of health outcomes with economic development.
In Nigeria, our grassroot work focuses on rural communities and communities at risk on need to provide access to health education, healthcare services for infectious and non-communicable diseases, access to supportive services and economic development opportunities.
Community Wellbeing understands that intricate ecological association among individuals, communities and their health require a correspondingly multi-faceted approach. This is why our efforts are guided by strategic and transformational approaches to real life challenges with the support of advocacy and collaborative partnerships for positive social change programs make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
