Domestic Violence During COVID-19




For those who are experiencing or are at-risk of experiencing domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic, here are some resources that can help:


  • If you or someone you know is at risk, text LOVEIS to 22522 or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233


  • The San Diego County District Attorney, Summer Stephan, has created online resources in both English and Spanish for those at risk, and has also shared this video message discussing support for local victims of domestic violence.


  • The State of California has shared the following resources:

  1. California Partnership to End Domestic Violence: For assistance in finding local programs, call 1-916-444-7163 on Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

  2. Safety Planning Guide: If you are a survivor of intimate partner violence, use this guide for help with safety planning.

  3. Domestic Violence Assistance and Housing First Programs: Use this guide to find information about programs across California.
